Gitxsan Health Society provides health programs and services to the Gitxsan communities of Glen Vowell (Sik-e-dakh Health Station) and Kispiox.
 

Gitxsan Health will continue to provide the following programs to Kispiox and Glen Vowell band members:

  • Home and Community Care

  • Communicable Disease Control

  • Mental Health and Addictions

  • Better At Home (BAH)

  • HIV/Aids Awareness

  • Gwalyeinsxw Kids Club

  • Drinking Water Safety program through the bands

  • Brighter Futures through the bands

  • Accreditation

  • Canada Prenatal Nutrition program

  • Patient Transportation

  • Indian Residential Survivors program

  • Diabetes program

  • Maternal Child Health program

  • Parental Child Assistance Program

  • Children’s Oral Health program

  • Dental

  • National Aboriginal Suicide Prevention program (First Nations Action Support Team)

Gitanmaax Band has disengaged from Gitxsan Health Society, as of April 1, 2016. Although a decision was made to leave the umbrella services of Gitxsan Health, First Nations Health Authority has kept the programs based on collective funding to remain under Gitxsan Health.

The programs that Gitxsan Health will continue to provide for Gitanmaax include:

  • Patient Transportation

  • Indian Residential Survivors program

  • Diabetes program

  • Maternal Child Health program

  • Parental Child Assistance Program

  • Children’s Oral Health program

  • Dental

  • National Aboriginal Suicide Prevention program (First Nations Action Support Team)

  • Gwalyeinsxw Kids Club

  • Better At Home
